From La Fortuna, take Ruta 4 toward Guatuso/Katira/Upala; in Katira, turn left onto Calle Katira. After 5 km turn right onto Calle La Paz toward Tenorio National Park; pass the park – we are located just 4 km after the park. Look for the wooden “Finca La Amistad” signs. Estimated travel time: 1.5 hours, 78 kilometers.

From Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose:

Take Ruta 1 toward Liberia, exit at Coyol (7 km after Juan Santamaria Airport). Follow Ruta 27 until Caldera (62 km). Then follow Ruta 1 (“Interamericana”) and take the Upala exit (85 km). Stay on Ruta 6 to Bijagua. 6 km after Bijagua, turn right and follow the “Camino viejo a pilon” for 5 km. Look for the wooden “Finca La Amistad” signs. Travel time: around 3.5 hours, 200 kilometers.

From the airport in Liberia/Guanacaste:

Ruta 21 to Liberia, in Liberia take Ruta 1 (“Interamericana”) toward San Jose. After 42 km take the Upala Ruta 6 exit and drive directly to Bijagua. 6 km after Bijagua, turn right and follow the “Camino viejo a pilon” for 5 km. Look for the wooden “Finca La Amistad” signs. Travel time: 1.5 hours, 95 km.
